The word parallax is defined as an apparent change in the direction of an object,
caused by a change in the viewer’s position. Hence, the Parallax philosophy is
simple. Bring together the best minds. Give them the freedom to think. Focus
that thinking on your unique problems. Then let that thinking take you in new
directions. The result is solutions that continually exceed your expectations and
enhance the bottom line.
Parallax was founded in 1992 by Margie Lewis, an engineer who gained
her well-rounded perspectives from a unique mix of government,
consulting and industry experience. She was driven by a singular desire to do
smart, savvy engineering.
Ms. Lewis' vision was to build a company that took a long-range view of the customer’s
needs. Her goal was to understand and exceed the customer’s expectations by
providing practical solutions in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
She’d
seen how project-to-project thinking and a drive for profit at all costs could
cloud perspective and that is why Parallax management teams are assigned to a
customer not a project. And top management is involved at every level. Totally
accessible. Completely flexible.
You won’t find a leaner, flatter organization. Each program manager reports
directly to a vice-president. Putting your direct client contact no more than one
level away from the president. All of which provides you access to expertise,
